JOIN US FOR OUR HOLIDAY CONCERTS

HOLIDAY 25 FLYER_edited.jpg

Join the Mission Peak Choirs for our annual candlelight family-friendly spectacular: Holidays with Mission Peak! We’ll ring in the holiday season together with festive favorites like The Christmas Song, Lo, How A Rose E’er Blooming, and Noche de Paz (Silent Night). We'll span traditions, genres, and cultures with an arrangement by the Filipino composer George Hernandez and carols by Benjamin Britten. New and veteran concert goers alike will be tapping their toes to The Funky Dreidl, and laughing with us in the humorous Text Me Merry Christmas. As always, the audience is invited to join in on  singalongs throughout the evening! Bring the family and join us for this seasonal tradition.

DONATE TO OUR 2024 FALL FUNDRAISER!

As a dedicated community-driven non-profit, Mission Peak Chamber Singers has long been a cornerstone for individuals and families in Fremont. Beyond our own choral members, MPCS is dedicated to uplifting our community through essential programs that empower individuals and families. With a concert repertoire this year celebrating many of Broadway's greatest hits, we invite you to join us in making an impact that resonates far beyond the stage. Our target for this year's fall fundraiser is to raise $30,000!

This year, one of our primary goals is to expand our visibility, reaching more people in the community who can benefit from our services or join us in our mission. Your contribution will help ensure that our work—providing vital & accessible choral music and community-building opportunities—continues to thrive. Let’s come together to make this season unforgettable, bringing hope and positive change to those who need it most.

FROM OUR ARTISTIC DIRECTOR, DR CORIE BROWN

Greetings, Mission Peak Community!

Since 2014, the Mission Peak Chamber Singers have aimed to inspire through our commitment to community choral excellence in the East Bay. In 2018, we started the East Bay People's Choir, which brings choir to everyone regardless of ability, financial or musical. Especially throughout the past few years, we have found strength and unity by making and sharing music together.

For this 2024-25 season, I will again be conducting both the East Bay People's Choir and Mission Peak Chamber Singers, which will both be performing an exciting season of joyful, diverse songs. Sharing some rehearsal time every week between the two choirs will further our mission of "building a joyful, vocal, and involved community through song".

None of this is possible without your support. Your belief in the intrinsic value of choral music has allowed us to expand our organization into what it is today and provide more accessible ways for everyone to be a part of live music. Together, we can continue building a joyful, vocal and involved community through song.

With gratitude for your generosity,

Dr. Corie Brown

Artistic Director

We rounded up our 23-24 season with our "Illuminare" concert on May 18th, featuring Elaine Hagenberg's "Illuminare", and songs from the Amazigh culture with Moroccan guest artist, Fattah Abbou. We also said goodbye to our wonderful accompanist Briana Ung, our music librarian and board member David Johnson, and our outgoing board President Brenda Loreman. We thank them for their dedication and efforts in service of music making and community building with Mission Peak Choirs!

On April 16th our 2nd annual "Beer Choir" singalong at Jack's Brewing company in Fremont Hub was a lot of fun! We had a full house, and sang together while enjoying great food and drinks served by the team at Jack's!

Our "Singing in the Rain" concert on March 2nd was a big success! It featured both of our choirs as well as several smaller groups and soloists- all performing songs about the weather and water!

We went caroling at Crippsmas Place on Dec 17th 2023, to entertain all the visitors who came to see the amazing Holiday light displays. The annual Crippsmas Place event raises money for the Leukemia-Lymphoma Society and other local charities.

Ready to Walk!

We walked and sang in the Niles Festival of Lights Parade on Nov 24th, to kick off the Holiday season with many other local organizations and businesses.
